The Team
Mary Odesey - Youth & Family Support Worker
Hi, I’ve been working with Nomad since November 2008 and love the fact that I get to work alongside some really kol folk and equally awesome families.
Regarding myself, I’m always up for having a laugh, being creative and experiencing different/exciting cultures when travelling. Haha, I’m probably on the dork-ish side and still haven't grown out of my love for Marvel comics yet (sorry mom!). For example when I was young I wanted to marry Aqua man!
Plus this quote by the Dalai Lama is genius, "If you think you are too small to make a difference, Then try sleeping with a Mosquito!" =)

Tim Prior - Youth & Family Team Manager
I have been working at Nomad since January 2008. I am married to my beautiful wife Han and have 3 young children who enjoy using me as a walking climbing frame. Eating is something I’m really good at and I love a good roast dinner and Chinese takeaway. I also have an addiction to fizzy sweets and football. There’s nothing better than skinning a few defenders and scoring with a majestic strike – I like to dream a lot too!
24 and Spooks are my favourite TV series, and I also like designing pretty stuff on the computer.
I am a tiny bit competitive and hate losing!

Martin Thompson - Youth & Family Support Worker
I’m the newest member of the Nomad team, so 2010 is turning out to be an exciting year for me! There’s the new job, a new baby (estimated time of arrival September-ish) and then there’s the world cup. Although not in South Africa this summer, I love footy and travelling – favourite places so far are Thailand, Peru, Italy & Kenya. I like having a good laugh and don’t mind looking silly, so I’ve always been up for drama and performing; which is handy as my lovely wife Jules does acting and directing (she was Little John’s wife in the BBC’s Robin Hood series). I drive a VW camper van called “Minty”, please wave at us and don’t laugh too much if we’ve broken down!

Jane Doe - Family Support Worker
Jane has been working with Nomad since September 2008. She has been providing support to children and families where there have been challenging family issues and/or difficulties with school attendance.
Jane is a great person to have around, bringing wisdom and maturity to the team, yet at moments breaking into uncontrollable fits of laughter. She has a knack of seeing the funny side of life! Jane lives with her husband and they have three grown up children including twins. One of Jane’s own challenges has been to eat a chocolate covered scorpion given to her as a present for mother’s day by one of her sons! No one in the office has been prepared to help her out despite their love of chocolate.
